Homeschooling in Flagstaff? You Don’t Have to Go It Alone!

Hi, I’m Kara Noble—founding attorney at Obsidian Ridge Law and co-founder of Northern Skies Academy. Every Thursday, we’re building something special: a place where homeschoolers can learn, connect, and thrive.

At Northern Skies, we’re more than just a drop-off—we’re a community built for families like yours.

Now enrolling for Kindergarten through 5th grade, our curriculum focuses on:
📚 History, science, and art
🎨 Creative expression through literature and hands-on projects
🧠 Support for subjects often skipped at home
👫 A strong sense of community and connection

We believe kids learn best when they feel welcomed, inspired, and free to be themselves—and that’s exactly what we’re creating here in Flagstaff.

AROUND TOWN

Help for First-time Homebuyers

🏡 The Community Homebuyer Assistance Program (CHAP) is made to help to lower barriers to home ownership in Flagstaff. CHAP begins in August, funded by Prop 442 and administered by Housing Solutions of Northern Arizona (HSNA).

First-time homebuyers can apply for CHAP loans to assist with down payment and closing costs. Loan funds of up to $50,000 will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Households earning up to 150% of Area Median Income can apply. More information and applications for this program are on the HSNA site.
