🌲♻ Treecycling 2026 begins January 6th. Leave your cleaned off trees curbside by 6am on the 5th, or drop off trees at one of the drop off locations by January 31st:

A Few Fantastic Groups & Classes to Start Your New Year

💗 Thrive Through Transition; Coping with Perimenopause and Menopause: A safe group to build coping skills, access resources, and develop new ways of approaching this life stage.  Jan. 15th - Mar. 12th, Wednesdays 5:30-7pm, Flagstaff Counseling Center, payment due Jan. 5th

Figure Drawing Open Studio Session: All levels of sketching experience are welcome, limited space - registration required, 18+ only. Sessions run Thursdays 5-7pm, Jan 8th to Feb 26th, Up & Coming

🤸‍♂️ Beginner Capoeira Angola Series: Learn a new way to move this year! Capoeira Angola is a unique blend of martial arts, dance, and music. In this series each class will build upon the last to help you grasp the essentials so you feel confident integrating into the regular classes by the end. 🥾 Arizona State Parks and Trails Free Admission Jan. 1: Start off your year with some time outdoors! Arizona State Parks and Trails will offer First Day Hikes with no fee to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. Check https://azstateparks.com/first-day-hikes for a list of all the location.

Friday 1.2

🖼️ First Friday ArtWalk: Come out to enjoy galleries, snacks, music, and friends. 5-9pm, Downtown

Saturday 1.3

🎉 Community Kwanzaa Event: Join a vibrant, joyful celebration of African American culture and heritage; this is a celebration for everyone! 4-7pm, Market of Dreams

🌝 Full Moon Hike: Come meet new friends and explore. Flagstaff Open Space hosts a full moon hike each month in different locations. 5:15pm, McMillan Mesa (Meet at Buffalo Park by the buffalo statue)

Sunday 1.4

🧘‍♂️ Yoga for Recovery: A class about healing, presence, and remembering you’re not alone on the path of recovery. Free/donation, no prior experience needed—just come as you are. 1-2:15pm, Happening Here 124 N San Francisco St.

🔥 Artist Talk with Bryan David Griffith: Tending the Flame is one man’s attempt to keep the spark of creativity burning during a metaphorical time of darkness. On this final day of the exhibition come hear the artist talk about his process and vision. 2-3pm, The HeArt Box
