🔥The Papa Fire that burned 118 acres on Leupp Road beginning June 8th is now fully contained. A few very small fires remain, including a new .5-acre fire near Mormon Lake.

♻️ If you have trash/recycling services with the City of Flagstaff, there will be changes Friday for Juneteenth. If you get recycling picked up on Friday, it will be picked up Thursday, June 18th instead. If you get trash picked up on Friday, it will be picked up Wed, June 17th instead. Landfill and recycling center will be closed Friday.

🧘‍♀️A HOTWORKX fitness studio franchise will be coming soon to Butler Ave. and Fourth Street next to Sinagua Middle School. Owner is 2024 NAU graduate Ariana Lambert, who moved to Flagstaff from the Valley when she was 8. The 24-hour fitness studio will offer 3D training that combines heat, infrared energy and exercise in specialized saunas.

👦A Children’s Museum is coming to Flagstaff, with a planned Spring 2027 opening date. NAU grad and physical therapist Meghan Lorenz is founding the museum under her created nonprofit, Halflings’ Association of Northern Arizona. Right now they are in the planning stages and welcome input.
