First Friday and We’re Going Car-Free for Artwalk
👨🎨🚲 Celebrate a more people-centric downtown for Artwalk tonight! ARTx presents Car-Free First Friday from 5-9pm. Aspen Avenue between Leroux and San Francisco, right by Heritage Square, will be closed to cars and open to people, pedals, and art! You’ll find:
🎶 Live music on Aspen Ave (closed to cars, open to joy!)
🚌 Poetry readings aboard a Mountain Line bus
🖼️ Pop-up art, performances & lots more!
You can even join a short group bicycle ride to get there! Meet at Thorpe Park Ramada at 4:30pm for the ride which leaves sharply at 5. Grab some friends (carpool!) and come celebrate an art and fun filled evening.
Community Garden Kick-Off Weekend
🥬Join Flagstaff Community Gardens to celebrate the start of the season with garden crafts, food, and more. Each event features an activity with a partner organization from the incredible Flagstaff gardening community!
Saturday
Hal Jansen Rec Center 10am-2:30pm: Celebration includes a garden blessing from NACA's Lasting Indigenous Family Enrichment program 10am-Noon.
Bonito Community Garden 5-7pm: Come to a potluck with the Just Cultivation Coalition - bring a dish or drink to share!
Sunday
Southside Community Garden 1:30-3:30pm: Enjoy a garden party with Terra BIRDs featuring their plant starts for sale!
