Good morning, Flagstaff! Snowbowl‘s opening day is today, the 21st. They’re open from 9am-4pm. Watch out for that Snowbowl traffic in the afternoon!

🎁 One of the things that inspired me to start this newsletter was shopping for gifts in Downtown last year, and finding myself pleasantly surprised at what a nice experience it was. It felt more cozy and interesting than other ways of shopping, and I found reasonably priced, really cool things to give. It made me want to highlight more of our awesome local artists and shops.

I’d love to share local gift giving ideas over the next month and I need your help!

WHAT’S HAPPENING

🎅🤶 Get Tickets for The North Pole Experience: This magical hands-on experience takes families on a trolley ride through a magic portal to Santa’s workshop. Meet elves, make toys, enjoy Yetti-Os and even have a private family visit with Santa. There are still a few tickets left for the weekend after Thanksgiving!

On a personal note - my son worked as an elf (named Klink!) with the North Pole Experience for multiple seasons, and they really take care to make it special. If you’ve got young kids, or just need a big dose of holiday cheer, it’s definitely a memory making experience.

🐾 Register for Paint Your Pup Night: Come paint your pup with a local artist from Creative Spirits! Images must be submitted by Nov. 25th and you’ll get step-by-step instructions!. Dec 2, 6-9pm, Historic Barrel House
