AROUND TOWN
π² This past week the City of Flagstaff announced the minimum for 2026. As of January 1, 2026, the minimum wage in the City of Flagstaff will increase to $18.35 for all workers. There will no longer be a lower minimum wage for tipped employees. These changes are due to the Minimum Wage Act (Proposition 414) passed by voters in November 2016.
The Act states that the Flagstaff minimum wage will increase each year by the increase in the cost of living, as measured by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Act also states that starting in 2026 tipped employees must receive the same base minimum wage as non-tipped employees.
